Monitor your skin closely for dryness, cracking, and peeling, especially on your lips, nose, and around your eyes. These areas are particularly susceptible to Accutane’s drying effects.
Pay attention to increased sensitivity. Does your skin sting or burn easily after washing or applying products? This signals dehydration and irritation.
Examine your skin’s texture. Does it feel rough, tight, or papery? This is a clear indication of severe dryness.
Notice any bleeding or inflammation of the skin. While dryness is common, bleeding cracks need immediate attention from your dermatologist.
Observe changes in skin color. Pale or ashen skin can accompany severe dehydration caused by Accutane.
If you experience any of these symptoms, consult your dermatologist. They can assess your condition and recommend appropriate treatment.
